About the Role: Addium Inc. is seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our team in Pullman, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of cutting-edge firmware solutions for wireless mesh networks, microcontroller sensing solutions, cloud integration, and sensor technologies. Responsibilities include:
- Firmware Development: Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for Bluetooth mesh systems and/or other microcontroller operating systems. Develop complex state machines and event scheduling for precise timing control.
- System Integration: Integrate new sensors and devices by analyzing datasheets and adapting them to our architectures.
- Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional team members and our firmware engineers to ensure seamless integration of new features.
- Testing: Define and execute comprehensive tests, participate in code reviews, and implement automated testing to ensure high-quality firmware.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development or related field.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience with wireless Bluetooth mesh systems (Nordic nRF52840 chip experience a plus).
- Proficiency with Git for version control, JIRA for task management, and GitLab for code collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to development.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, with ability to take ownership.
- Legal right to work in the US and willingness to relocate to Pullman, WA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MSP430 microcontrollers.
- Proficiency in Eclipse-based IDEs and SDKs for firmware development.
- Experience with low-power design and optimization.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and works with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Office-based role involving computer use for extended periods.
- 100% on-site in Pullman, WA.
