POSITION SUMMARY The Fencing Foreman’s primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects. As a fencing foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing fencing installation projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. Your role involves leading a team of workers, coordinating materials and equipment, interpreting project plans, and communicating effectively with clients and subcontractors. You will enforce safety protocols, monitor progress, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process. Your expertise in fencing materials, construction techniques, and project management will be crucial in delivering successful projects within budget and on schedule. Travel is required as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities: - Project Management: Plan and manage fencing projects from start to finish.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of fence installers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work.
- Site Preparation: Oversee site preparation, including marking boundaries, clearing obstacles, and ensuring proper grading for fence installation.
- Material Handling: Coordinate the material gathering, requests for additional supplies, and storage of fencing materials and ensure they are used efficiently.
- Installation: Lead the installation of various types of fencing, such as chain-link and welded wire, ensuring that work meets quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect work for quality and compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Safety: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with scheduler, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to address concerns and provide progress updates.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the project, making quick and informed decisions to keep the project on track.
QUALIFICATIONS - Five years of chainlink fencing experience preffered, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position
- Detailed knowledge of concrete construction procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete material takeoffs such as concrete, formwork and fencing materials.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Key competencies: Initiative, communication, teamwork, and dependability. Must be able to read plans and specifications.
Technical skills: Knowledge of concrete formwork systems, concrete mix designs and add mixtures, concrete placing methods, finishing and curing.

- Work primarily on outdoors sites, involving physical labor in various weather conditions
- Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand.
- Talk and hear at normal levels.
- See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Use hands and fingers to operate tools and machinery.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Complete Layout from either survey or plans.
- Set elevations from plans or given elevations from survey.
- Assist Project managers with RFI’s and propose new field direction/plan to complete scope.
- Able to lead employees and subcontractors.
- Ability to multitask.
- Flexible work hours. Occasional travel and overtime may be required depending on project needs

Salary range for this job is $30-$40/hour depending on experience
