Job Description

Job Title: Junior and Senior Designer for Licensed Accessories

We are looking for talented Junior and Senior Designers specializing in licensed hair accessories, jewelry, and other fashion accessories. As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our design team to support the development of new and exciting products for retailers both in the U.S. and abroad!

Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on emerging fashion trends.
  • Develop product designs and packaging from initial concept through final production for both existing and new product lines.
  • Create item line sheets and customer presentations to showcase designs.
  • Prepare artwork for production and review samples for accuracy and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with overseas factories to ensure production meets specifications.
  • Oversee projects through all stages to maintain creative excellence and ensure high-quality products are delivered to market.
  • Lead by example and mentor junior designers.
  • Conduct market research to identify new trends, uncover gaps in the market, and introduce innovative ideas.
  • Stay informed about licensed brands and industry trends to influence product development.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in licensed consumer product design, with a preference for experience in accessories.
  • Experience with categories like necklaces, charm bracelets, earrings, hair accessories (clips, scrunchies, headbands), and similar items.
  • Background in designing licensed products such as cosmetics, bags, jewelry holders, stationery, and licensed party goods.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • A proactive self-starter who excels both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, start-up environment is highly preferred.
