Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner – Occupational Health

• Competitive salary range: $92,000 - $147,004 DOE.

• Report to: Occupational Health - Medical Director
• Location: Albany, New York

Highlights:

• 4 days / week (Monday - Thursday)
• Part-time (.8 FTE) 32 hours per week.
• Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm
• 2 days in Office / 2 Days Remote/Telehealth
• No call, weekend, holidays
• Primarily - Workers' Comp Cases

  • Run Clinic –  Supervise  Staff (One Front Desk employee)

  • • Systems –  EMR:  Epic
    • No Drug Screens
    • No Narcotics
    • Start: ASAP with training before credentialing

Job Summary:

• The Nurse Practitioner provides advance practice nursing care to patients, families and the community through assessment, planning, prescribing and evaluation interventions. A Nurse Practitioner is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team who demonstrates professionalism and leadership within the institution. The Nurse Practitioner exemplifies the  mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop tailored care plans

• Prescribe and evaluate interventions for patients and families

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism within the institution

• Uphold the mission, vision, and values in all aspects of work

• Adhere to all policies and procedures

Requirements:

• New York State licensed and registered Nurse Practitioner

• NPI number and Medicare Enrollment (or eligibility within 6 months of hire)

• National Certification through AANP or ANCC

• Master's Degree in Nursing

• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Occupational Medicine, Musculoskeletal, or Orthopedic care
