**Job Title:** Freelance Wedding and Event Planner
**Location:** Columbus, Ohio
**Job Type:** Freelance/Contract
**Overview:**
We are seeking a talented and passionate Freelance Wedding and Event Planner to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in planning and coordinating events, with a strong portfolio showcasing their work. While design experience is a plus, it is not a requirement for this role. The position also involves social media management and marketing, making it a perfect fit for someone with strong sales skills and a flair for promoting events online.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Event Planning & Coordination:**
- Manage all aspects of wedding and event planning from concept to execution, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and on-site event management.
- Develop detailed timelines, floor plans, and event schedules.
- Ensure seamless communication with clients, vendors, and the event team to deliver a memorable experience.
- **Client Relationship Management:**
- Work closely with clients to understand their vision and translate it into a cohesive event plan.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on event design, themes, and trends.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- **Social Media & Marketing:**
- Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms to promote upcoming events and services.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and enhance brand visibility.
- Utilize social media analytics to track performance and optimize marketing efforts.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning and coordination.
- Strong portfolio showcasing past events.
- At least 3 professional recommendations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and basic marketing principles.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in event design, including layout, décor, and theming.
- Familiarity with event planning software and tools including Aisle Planner and Dubsado.
