Job Title:- ETL Tester

Exp:- 10+

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Analyze business and technical requirements to design and execute test cases for ETL workflows and data pipelines.
2. Validate data mapping, transformation logic, and end-to-end data integration across source and target systems.
3. Develop and execute SQL queries to perform data validation and reconciliation.
4. Identify, document, and track defects/issues in ETL processes, ensuring timely resolution.
5. Conduct performance testing on ETL jobs to ensure optimal data loading and transformation times.
6. Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and data architects to understand requirements and provide feedback.
7. Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
8. Participate in peer reviews and provide suggestions for process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:-

1. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 8+ hands-on experience in ETL testing and data validation.
3. Strong knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or SSIS.
4. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
5. Familiarity with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
6. Experience in working with data warehouses, data lakes, and big data platforms.
7. Knowledge of data quality, data profiling, and data governance principles.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:-

1. Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit for ETL validation.
2. Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow).
3. Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
4. Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
5. ISTQB or other relevant certification in testing.
