Job Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil engineer with a strong background in the solid waste industry, site design, and land development. The ideal candidate will possess advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, coupled with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in civil site design projects, including commercial properties, shopping centers, landfills, and landfill expansions/closures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects while building relationships with clients and overseeing design and construction. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed drawings and designs from scratch using AutoCAD Civil 3D (Intermediate to Advanced level). - Manage end-to-end civil site design projects, including landfill expansions, closures, and construction oversight. - Collaborate with clients to discuss project needs, permitting, subcontractor coordination, and approvals. - Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring quality service delivery. - Oversee project management tasks, including developing schedules and managing resources. - Perform technical analyses, including cut-fill calculations, stormwater management, and waste-sizing evaluations. Day-to-Day Duties: - Take ownership of assigned projects, addressing client needs and delivering tailored solutions. - Collaborate with team members and work closely with Project Managers to ensure seamless execution. - Conduct site visits (approximately 10% travel) to locations such as San Diego, Long Beach. - Provide on-site support during construction phases, as needed (frequency may vary depending on project requirements).
