Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

CTTX Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team. As an Endoscopy nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and effective care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

As an Endoscopy nurse, you will assist with the preparation, execution, and recovery of endoscopic procedures, working closely with the gastroenterologist and the rest of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and document patient status before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
  • Assist with patient positioning, sedation administration, and monitoring.
  • Assist the gastroenterologist during procedures, passing instruments and providing suction.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, oxygen saturation, and level of consciousness.
  • Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for potential complications and ensuring patient recovery.
  • Collaborate with the gastroenterologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Endoscopy nursing.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of endoscopic procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques.
