Designs, develops, tests, and documents software code. Plans, analyzes, programs and implements coding practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software drivers
• Develop software applications
• Process digital signals
• Develop Client/server applications
• Analyze and implement Legacy and current processor technology
• Analyze and implement Operating systems, architectures, and interfaces
• Develop code using Assembly and high-level programming languages
• Reverse engineer software/code
• Develop embedded software
• Communicate status of work
• Peer review software
• Moderate software peer reviews

Required Skills:

• USB protocol and driver experience
• Programming experience for embedded Linux both user-space and kernel-mode software in C
• Low-level development experience – e.g. interrupt handlers, device drivers, controlling peripherals, reading/writing Flash memory, etc.
• Development experience with Linux on ARM-based platforms
• Experience with OpenWRT/LEDE distribution
• Python experience
• Automated testing, unit test level

Desired Skills:

• Experience with atuomake/autoconf suite is a plus
• Experience supporting patches for software development projects is a plus
• Experience with the creation of Linux packages e.g. OpenWRT/LEDE or RPM package for Fedora/Red Hat

Education/Expereience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM/ technical field along with 5+ years of experience in software engineering OR
Master's degree in Computer Science or related STEM / technical field and 3+ years of experience in software engineering.

Clearance:
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary Range:

• The salary range provided is an estimate based on current market conditions and may be adjusted based on years of experience, education, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be determined after a thorough review of your background and alignment with the role. Please note that this range is subject to change and should be viewed as a guideline. 

• For this position, the projected pay range is $94,000 to $246,000.
