About the Role

The Electrical Systems Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and integrating electrical control panels with equipment, ensuring they meet design specifications and functional requirements. This role requires a keen understanding of electrical schematics, high and low-voltage systems, and the ability to work with various panel components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and possesses a strong problem-solving mindset, with experience in troubleshooting and programming being a valuable asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels based on provided schematics and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  • Integrate control systems into equipment, including high-voltage connections, while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics to accurately wire circuits, connections, and components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control panel and equipment integration issues as they arise.
  • Work with various panel components, including switches, safeties, relays, and other critical elements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to test and validate electrical systems and integrations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to workplace safety protocols.
  • Document and update wiring diagrams, schematics, and other relevant technical information as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in building and assembling electrical control panels.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of electrical panel components, including switches, safeties, relays, and more.
  • Experience with high- and low-voltage electrical systems, including integration with equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving electrical issues.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with advanced electrical system testing tools and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Formal technical training or certification in electrical systems or related fields.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for electrical control systems and equipment integration.
