Job Description

Maine Recycling Corporation is seeking a Driver Helper to assist our CDL drivers in the collection of returnable glass bottles, plastic bottles, and aluminum cans for recycling.

• Being at work on time and maintaining satisfactory attendance is extremely important because you are one-half of a two-person team, working under time constraints. Our customers and your Driver-teammate will depend on you.
• Loading and unloading returnable bottles and cans for recycling.
• Reporting all delivery-related problems to the Driver Manager.
• Assisting drivers to find delivery locations.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate information effectively.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to work flexible hours.
• The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Assists in truck and/or trailer housekeeping.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Starting Pay: Negotiable depending on experience. 

Maine Recycling currently acts as a pickup and processing agent for some of the largest beverage manufacturers in Northern New England. Our fleet of 30 trucks with over 200 trailers enables us to provide state wide pickup services for both new and existing beverage distributors in Maine. MRC currently employs 80 to 100 employees operating from our Lisbon Falls location.MRC has now expanded and opened a Redemption Center. Speedy Redemp is in Topsham, ME.
