Job Description

Winston Salem Dog Walking is an established and well-known local dog daycare and dog walking company in Winston-Salem, NC. We started from scratch in early 2017 to help dogs get the exercise and attention they need while their owners are away, be it for work or travel. We strive to provide an unmatched experience for our clients and staff while enjoying the companionship, exercise, and fresh air this job offers. We are rapidly growing and continue to set the standard for pet care in the area. 

• We service Winston-Salem, Clemmons, and nearby communities.
• Our daycare is located at 4680 Tobaccoville Road, Tobaccoville, NC.

We would prefer candidates who can work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Our shifts run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can provide details regarding your availability in the application form. 

Compensation and benefits:

$13 - $20 / hour 

($13 per hour weekday, $17 per hour weekends, $20 per hour holidays)

Responsibilities: 

• Cleaning of dog suites
• Provide feedings and administering medication
• One-on-one playtimes with dogs
• Laundry and other general cleaning duties
• Supervision of small and large dog playgroups separated by size and weight.

Desired Skills

• Previous dog care experience is a must. This includes dog walking, vet tech experience, showing, breeding, rescue experience, and personal ownership.
• A natural affinity and passion for dogs
• Physically able to be on your feet multiple hours a day
• Strong time management skills 
• Ability to quickly problem solve if emergencies arise
• Ability to manage your time well
• A willingness to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extra consideration for animal shelter volunteers
