Freshworks is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of SEO to lead our organic search strategy. Reporting directly to the Senior Director - Inbound Growth, the Director of SEO will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO initiatives to drive organic growth and increase visibility across search engines.
You will develop and implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to help drive the company’s growth. You will help manage offsite and onsite optimization projects and report on performance across four different GTM motions - SMB-Direct, Partner, Commercial & Field segments. This role will oversee the agency and internal optimization of team resources and the partnership with marketing technology, product growth, and analytics to meet SEO outcomes.
Spearhead the formulation, execution, and refinement of Freshworks’ overarching global SEO strategy, aligning with organizational objectives and market dynamics.
Develop and implement a strategic SEO roadmap to increase organic traffic, rankings, and conversions across all relevant search engines.
Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify high-value opportunities and trends within our target markets.
Optimize on-page and off-page elements, including content, meta tags, site architecture, internal linking, and backlink profiles to improve search visibility and user experience.
Collaborate with Web strategy & technical SEO to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into website development.
Collaborate with Content strategy and Product marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation processes.
Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics, including traffic, rankings, and backlink profiles, and provide regular reporting and insights to key stakeholders.
Build workflows across teams to drive collaboration, including content development, designers, social media, and Paid Growth, to synchronize efforts and enhance SEO impact
Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and other partners as needed to support SEO initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SEO specialists to execute strategic objectives and drive results.
13+ years of experience in a scaling SaaS organization
Developed and implemented a strategic SEO roadmap to increase organic traffic, rankings, and conversions across all relevant search engines.
Demonstrated expertise in devising and implementing enterprise-level SEO strategies, ideally within a global context.
Proven track record of leadership and team development, with a solid ability to inspire and empower diverse teams towards shared objectives.
Proficiency in utilizing advanced SEO tools and analytics platforms to drive informed decision-making and performance optimization.
Extensive experience with SEO tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for staying current with the latest developments in SEO and digital marketing.
Washington Pay Range: $199,200 - $286,304
Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level.
