Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a dynamic team, working with a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for data science and a background in Loyalty Programs, Travel, and Hospitality. While the client is based in the Miami area, we welcome both local candidates and those interested in remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Optimize Testing Designs: Lead the optimization of testing strategies to deliver better business outcomes and enhanced decision-making.
Loyalty Program Impact: Assess the potential P&L impact of new Loyalty Program features, ensuring ROI maximization and effective risk management.
Testing Confidence: Improve decision-making through testing outcomes that balance rigor with speed and scope.
Identify Key Metrics: Develop measurable KPIs to track business performance, such as onboard spend or rebooking rates.
Test and Control Group Identification: Define the best groups for testing, ensuring feasibility and alignment with strategic goals.
Sample Size and Duration: Use Power Analysis to determine appropriate sample sizes and test durations, ensuring that tests are statistically sound.
Optimize Test Populations: Utilize clustering and optimization techniques to select test/control groups, ensuring the most accurate results through matched-pair designs.
Evaluate Business Impact: Quantify the business benefit of tests by analyzing guest behavior, both in the short-term and long-term, to determine the true impact of changes.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 15 years of experience in IT, with a strong background in data science, testing, and analytics.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Pyspark, Python, and power analyses. Experience in determining sample sizes and statistical evaluation methods.
A/B Testing & Segmentation: Expertise in segmentation, A/B/n testing, and evaluating test results to derive actionable insights.
Industry Experience: Experience with data science in-market testing frameworks and ideally, working with Loyalty Programs.
Consulting Experience: Experience working with large consulting or system integrator firms, especially in client-facing roles.
Desirable Background: Experience in the Travel & Hospitality industry is a plus.
