The Data Analyst is expected to help expand my clients capabilities to better serve our internal and external clients. Additionally, the position is expected to help drive innovation, strategy and expand our Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics product offering by identifying opportunities, capturing requirements for solutions.
- Supports deep dives for Executive Committee
- Profile data looking for anomalies, bad keys, missing data, etc.
- Provides Product support for all work within Data Services
- Requirements gathering for datasets, reports, scorecards and more
- Be a steward for best data practices
- Help curate the company’s metadata and KB
- Create reporting solutions within Power BI and using Power Platform where applicable
- Supports reporting evolution at my client (from grid style to dashboarding)
- Organized and strong documentation skills are a requirement for any person working in Data Services
- A true team member within the Agile framework
- Communicates when blocks arise
- Accountable for all work completed or not completed
Requirements - Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related fields
- 3+ years experience in data centric technology groups such as Data Services, Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, FP&A or Data Warehousing.
- Proficient in SQL syntax for data profiling and query writing for requirements
- 3+ years experience working with BI focused reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Domo, etc. (preferably Power BI)
- Experience with MS 365 and additional MS Products
- Microsoft AzDo (Dev Ops)
- MS 365 / SharePoint
- MS Azure
- Understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform (nice to have, not required)
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
- Power Query
- Experience with Snowflake (preferred, but not required)
- Strong understanding of data structures, security, performance, optimization and usability.
- Strong understanding of star schema, Kimball Dimensional Modeling and common data models
- Strong understanding of data modeling
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
