Position Details Lindsay Corporation is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Intern to join our team. This is a full-time position, located at our Omaha headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska
. This internship will include exciting hands on technical work to grow your skills and obtain a better understanding of the Cyber Security Field. At Lindsay Corporation, you will work on innovative projects that offer great technical challenges.
Please note: Only candidates currently residing in the surrounding Omaha area will be considered for this opportunity. Duties & Responsibilities - Detection of cyber security events & incidents in real time through centralized monitoring.
- Analyze cyber security events from multiple sources (SIEM, MDR, AV, Firewalls, etc.).
- Respond and contain cyber security incidents and identify eradication strategies.
- Identify process improvement areas and new opportunities in technologies or capabilities
- Communicate incident status to Cyber Security Engineers and Managers
- Creating an environment which drives knowledge sharing across teams
- Receive mentorship from other Cyber Security Engineers
Qualifications - Demonstrated knowledge of Information Security principles through related coursework, job experience or personal usage
- Understanding of security related technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls, and application vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with tools used in security operations, incident response, and forensics
- Natural curiosity, and a desire to continually learn and improve
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Able to identify issues, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources
- Must have the ability to write technical information in a clear and concise manner and to be able to convey information appropriately for a variety of audiences
Must be highly motivated, self-starting and self-directed with the ability to multi-task, work independently and as a part of multiple teams
