Under the supervision of the Air Operations Sergeant, the Custodian performs janitorial duties in keeping an assigned office, building or area clean and orderly. Empty and clean garbage, organic waste, and recycling receptacles; empty and shred confidential refuse; dust/clean desks, cabinets, counters, tables, equipment, and furniture; sweep/clean/mop hallways, restrooms, break room/kitchen, locker rooms, offices, storage rooms, conference rooms, and aircraft hangar; stripping, cleaning, and waxing floors as needed; remove stains from floors and vacuum all carpeted areas. Assist in moving and arranging furniture/equipment as required. Clean lavatories and kitchen sinks: clean/disinfect urinals and toilet bowls; replenish soap dispensers, toilet tissues, paper towel and drinking cups; mop restroom floors with a disinfectant cleaner. Clear foreign object debris from hangar, ramp, and aircraft parking areas; ensure ramp is clear of weeds, dirt, and any other items which could pose a risk to aircraft; ensure ramp markings are adequate for aircraft parking.
