Overview:

This hybrid marketing and public relations role will be a key component of Pyramid Global Hospitality’s field marketing team supporting the company’s portfolio of independent resorts and hotels. The corporate marketing and communications manager will work closely with the vice president of marketing and corporate director of public relations to elevate the collection’s profile and increase consumer awareness through strategic campaigns that include earned media, paid media, social media, and owned channels. This role will also collaborate with the corporate director of public relations to directly support select resorts and hotels in building and executing earned media and influencer programs.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Partner with the corporate director of public relations to provide direct support to a select group of resorts and hotels in Pyramid’s independent collection, Benchmark Resorts & Hotels. This includes local, regional and national media relations, influencer/content creator relations, creative program ideation, reporting, writing PR materials as needed, and collaborating with the field marketing and on-property teams for execution.
  • Execute integrated communications strategies to increase awareness of Benchmark Resorts & Hotels in collaboration with the corporate director of public relations and vice president of marketing. This includes partnering with Benchmark’s agencies that support paid media, organic social, and public relations.
  • Work with the vice president of marketing and corporate director of public relations to execute cooperative marketing campaigns for Benchmark’s collection of properties.
  • Drive revenue through personalized communication and targeted email marketing strategies. Track and analyze campaign performance and use insights to optimize future campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the director of public relations and other field marketing team leaders to enhance content on the Benchmark Resorts & Hotels blog, including story ideation, tracking writer commissions, reviewing content, and writer payments.
  • Support the creation of Benchmark’s annual Mosaic Lifestyle Travel Journal publication in partnership with the corporate director of public relations, vice president of marketing, and contracted agency.
  • Manage and update the Benchmark Resorts & Hotels website.
  • Manage internal email communication newsletters for the Sales & Marketing team.
  • Facilitate tradeshow collateral, presentations and email marketing for the global sales and leisure sales teams with the support of Benchmark’s creative agency.
  • Responsible for managing corporate and cooperative marketing budgets.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College degree or Associate degree with experience.
  • Computer savvy including experience with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit who isn’t afraid to step out of the box
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy and positioning.
  • Media relations experience, including story development, pitching, and facilitating media requests.
  • Graphic design and/or video editing experience preferred (Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, Illustrator, Canva etc).
  • Website content management experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of communications and marketing experience in a relevant field (previous hospitality experience a plus).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity and innovation in branding and marketing initiatives.
  • Outgoing and self-motivated individual.
Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $75,000.00/Yr. - $100,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
