**Job Title: Conveyor Mechanic** **Job Description** Join our team as a Conveyor Mechanic, where you will be responsible for performing both minor and major repairs on all material handling equipment, including AutoStore systems. You will also carry out preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. **Responsibilities** + Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on conveyor systems, inspecting belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and greasing bearings and seals. + Conduct repairs or replacements of broken parts on material handling equipment. + Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building systems. + Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and maintain accurate records. + Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements, maintaining all required HAZMAT records. + Respond promptly to management and internal customer inquiries, researching and resolving operational issues. + Operate computers controlling and monitoring mechanical and utility systems as needed. + Handle emergency maintenance requests efficiently. + Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts, ordering as necessary. + Make recommendations for improvements to maintenance programs. + Operate powered lift equipment and support equipment lockout/tagout procedures. + Perform other duties as assigned, including outside custodial tasks like snow removal. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma or equivalent. + 2-6 years of maintenance experience, including proficiency with hand and power tools. + Experience operating warehouse equipment, with potential to obtain Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines. + Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. + Responsive to staff needs, with courteous and effective communication. + Mathematical proficiency for computing rates, ratios, and interpreting drawings and schematics. + Reliable attendance and availability for overtime, including weekends. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with electrical motors, hydraulics, PLC control, and industrial maintenance. + Familiarity with service schematics and maintenance repair procedures. **Why Work Here?** Be a part of a cutting-edge team at a brand-new flagship distribution center equipped with the latest in automated robotic technology. The role requires standing and remaining alert, regularly lifting or moving up to 60 lbs, and performing tasks involving bending, twisting, and pulling. You will operate powered equipment, potentially wearing a headset and PPE like a protective harness. Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary. Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.
