Job Description

Join our team as a Commercial Building Engineer and be the backbone of our downtown Milwaukee- 411 E Wisconsin building! We need someone with a practical mindset, keen attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility. You'll be the go-to person for our tenants, ensuring their safety and satisfaction by keeping our building in top-notch condition.

As part of our team, you'll:

  • Help troubleshoot and fix any issues with our building and its systems.
  • Take care of a variety of equipment, from pumps and valves to electrical and mechanical devices.
  • Assist with installing and adjusting building equipment as needed.
  • Tackle repairs on building finishes like ceiling tiles, door hardware, and more, including painting walls and floors.
  • Evaluate maintenance processes and suggest improvements to save time and resources.
  • Be ready to jump into action for emergencies or tenant requests.
  • Regularly inspect our building and grounds for safety and maintenance needs.
  • Operate and maintain our fire and life safety systems.
  • Follow all codes, regulations, and safety protocols to keep our building running smoothly.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a solid background in maintenance, with at least three years of experience.
  • Is comfortable using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Can handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in any weather.
  • Is tech-savvy and can use smartphones, tablets, and computers for work.
  • Takes pride in their work and delivers exceptional customer service.
