Job Description

This is a second shift role from 2:30pm to 11:30pm

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to run jobs on a station with two CNC Okuma Lathes. One is a 4-Axis and the other is a 5-6 Axis with sub-spindle.  You will be working with aluminum, plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.

Job Duties include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Observe all safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.

Required experience & qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes (Okuma is preferred).
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.

Physical Demands
Ability to select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing between 30 and 50 pounds. The ability to stand up to a total of 8 hours, with breaks while occasionally bending, stooping, and twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.

There is an anti-fatigue mat at the machines, as well as a stool if needed.
