Job Description

Position: Field Service Engineer - CNC Milling/turning

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer with expertise in CNC Milling and Turning to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site service, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs for our customers' CNC milling/turning machines. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that requires excellent technical knowledge and exceptional customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC milling/turning machines.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Train customers on the proper operation and maintenance of their machines.
  • Assist with machine tool retrofits and upgrades.
  • Create and maintain service reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with CNC milling/turning machines in a field service role.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC, Milling, and Turning processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with machine tool retrofitting and upgrades.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
