Job Description

Physician Extender Opportunity for Foreign Medical Graduate Doctor
The position is for a full-time foreign medical graduate for a physician extender and clinical assistant role.

Practice is a mix of Neurology, Physical Medicine, ad Orthopedics Practice with multiple locations in Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island.

About the Job:
  • Physician Extender who will be responsible for clinical work and seeing patients with supervision. 
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and ability to complete charts without errors. 

Specifics:

  • Covering clinic days 24 days a month.
  • Clinical hours are 845AM - 615PM.
  • Outpatient only.

Physician Extender Responsibilities:

  • Seeing consults and follow ups. 
  • Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including completing paperwork for patients requested by insurance/work letters/school letters, etc. 
  • Finishing all clinical notes with accuracy, same day as the clinic visit.
  • Helping with patient call backs and developing treatment plans.

Requirements for Physician Extender:

  • Highly motivated
  • Willingness to learn
  • Speed with documentation and history taking
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Must be comfortable with EMR.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Prior experience clinical experience is mandatory.
  • Must have graduate medical degree: MD, MBBS, DO. 
  • Must be legally allowed to work in NYS (e.g. active work visa, or US citizen, etc.)

Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary with a yearly increase, as well as 2 weeks PTO yearly after 1 year of continuous employment.
We do not offer a benefits package or a health insurance coverage.
