Clearance, Settlement, & Trading Operations Assistant (1342)

Aramco Trading Americas - Houston, TX - Full Time


Position Overview:

The Analyst – Confirmations role is a part of the Contracts and Confirmations organization, reporting to Corporate Support.  The role provides support to the Confirmations Team and is an excellent opportunity to work with a Global Trading Organization. 

 

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Locate trades in the trade capture system (RightAngle) to label and organize emails for the Confirmations Team.
  • Manage daily incoming confirmation correspondence and inquiries within shared mailboxes. 
  • Monitor, review, interpret contracts/responses for the purchase and sale of physical Chemicals, Crude Oil, Products, and Renewables, including both waterborne movements and non-marine trades.
  • Assist in ensuring confirmations are dispatched within contractual deadlines.
  • Process electronic confirmations via Ice Trade Vault.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with Traders and Commercial teams in order to understand overall scope of transactions.
  • Work under time pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize multiple activities.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service-oriented behavior, a professional attitude, as well as a high degree of accuracy.
  • Operate with minimal supervision and ability to identify and resolve problems in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional written communication skills.
  • Effective team player.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment located in downtown Houston, TX, within the defined hours set forth above.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration or related field, Paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination or experience and education.
  • Prior experience in an energy trading and marketing environment and a strong desire to learn.
  • Prior experience with contracts and confirmations processes.
  • Prior RightAngle experience.
  • Prior Ice Trade Vault experience.

     

Internal note:   grade level will be dependent upon successful candidates’ education and experience.
