We are currently seeking a Commercial Cleaner (Floater) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of multiple commercial buildings. You will be required to work independently, and travel to different locations on a daily basis. As a floater, you may be assigned to different buildings on different days, so flexibility is a must. Some weekends may be required. Position Overview: The Floater position is a versatile role requiring flexibility and adaptability. Floaters are responsible for filling in for absent staff members across various locations and tasks. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of multiple cleaning procedures and the ability to quickly adapt to different environments. Key Responsibilities: * Fill in for absent employees across various locations, performing a wide range of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to: * Gather, empty trash, and replace liners in trash bins. * Clean floors and baseboards by sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming. * Dust vents, office furniture, equipment, sills, wall-mounted objects, etc., as per schedule. * Keep areas stocked with supplies such as paper products, soaps, etc. * Clean and sanitize areas such as restrooms, exam rooms, offices, break rooms, etc. * Clean high touch points such as glass, chrome fixtures, phones, etc. * Request supplies as needed to ensure that all necessary materials are on hand. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of janitor storage areas. * Ensure buildings are secure by locking doors and turning on/off alarm systems. * Notify the manager when a building requires minor repairs. * Adhere to specific cleaning requirements as detailed for each location. * Adapt quickly to different work environments and procedures. * Communicate effectively with site managers and team members. * Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the site manager. * Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to company standards. * Follow cleaning schedules and instructions provided by the supervisor * Maintain a clean and organized work environment * Perform inspections as instructed by the supervisor. Skills and Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services preferred. * Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills. * Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation * Ability to travel to different locations on a daily basis * Availability to work a late second shift. * Eligibility to drive company cars under insurance requirements. Work Environment: * Varies daily; work across multiple locations and environments. * Requires travel to different sites, sometimes with short notice. * Flexible work schedule to accommodate different shifts and locations. Physical Demands: * Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. * Must be able to handle the physical demands of various cleaning tasks. * Travel between locations may be required. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, * Run a floor scrubber and operate a backpack vacuum * Be on your feet for 6 to 8 hours. Reporting Structure: * Reports to the Zone Supervisors. * Works closely with team leads and other staff members at different locations. * Specific cleaning requirements will be detailed for each location. Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time position with a wage of $14-$15 per hour, depending on experience. Mileage will be paid when not in a company car.
