Job Description

Bjak is transforming financial accessibility in ASEAN by providing affordable and innovative solutions to millions. Headquartered in Malaysia, Bjak operates the largest insurance portal in Southeast Asia, empowering customers to find the best value for their needs. With cutting-edge technology and a commitment to customer-first experiences, Bjak is shaping the future of financial services across the region.

About the Role
The Chief People Officer (CPO) is a cornerstone of Bjak’s executive leadership team, tasked with shaping and sustaining a high-performing, people-centric organization. As the steward of Bjak’s talent and culture, the CPO drives initiatives that enhance employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and long-term business growth.

We expect our CPO to be the custodian of our values, the architect of our talent strategies, and a trusted advisor to the leadership team. This role demands a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, regional labor markets, and a proactive approach to the challenges of a rapidly scaling organization.

Requirements

  • Leadership Mastery: Understand how to shape and lead a global people function, aligning talent strategy with business priorities. You must be comfortable guiding Bjak’s leadership team on workforce planning, succession, and organizational change.
  • Strategic Acumen: Develop and execute a people strategy that supports growth while balancing operational excellence. You should have the foresight to anticipate challenges and opportunities in talent acquisition, retention, and organizational development.
  • Culture Stewardship: Instinctively know how to nurture and evolve company culture while embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything you do. You’re expected to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that inspires employees across regions.
  • Talent Expertise: Ensure we have the right people, in the right roles, at the right time. You must bring deep expertise in talent attraction, leadership development, and creating pathways for internal growth.
  • Compensation and Governance: Have a firm grasp of designing competitive and compliant compensation strategies that reflect our values and attract top-tier talent. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our HR practices align with legal and ethical standards globally.
  • Change Agent: Bring proven experience in leading large-scale transformations, from organizational redesign to new technology implementations. You’re expected to navigate change with resilience and empathy, ensuring buy-in at all levels.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage analytics and HR technology to monitor workforce performance and inform strategic decisions. You should naturally combine intuition with data to shape your approach.

What We’re Looking For

  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership, with significant experience in senior executive roles.

  • A track record of leading HR in high-growth, multinational organizations.

  • Deep understanding of regional markets, particularly across ASEAN, and the ability to navigate their complexities.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the gravitas to influence and inspire at the executive level.

  • Visionary yet pragmatic mindset, with the ability to balance strategic foresight and hands-on execution.

Benefits

At Bjak, we believe our people are our greatest asset. Joining as our CPO offers:

  • The opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing organization impacting millions across ASEAN.
  • A dynamic and inclusive environment where innovation thrives.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities.
