Canvasser for Ballot Access Petitioning

Type: Full-time or Part-time

Location: St. Louis, Missouri; Alabama; Florida

Job Summary:

KLS Dispatching Service is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to join our team as Canvassers for a ballot access petitioning campaign. The primary responsibility of this role is to collect signatures from registered voters to have our candidate's name placed on the ballot. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, allowing you to set your own schedule and be your own boss with no maximum earning cap. We are looking for canvassers in the St. Louis, Missouri area, Alabama, and Florida. Start immediately with the option for weekly or daily pay at the end of each shift.

Duties Include:

• Participating in daily check-in team meetings to set and review daily goals.
• Filling out and submitting short online and paper forms accurately and promptly.
• Communicating effectively with registered voters to explain the petition and gather signatures.
• Traveling regularly within the county to engage with voters in various neighborhoods.

Skills Needed:

• Outgoing and comfortable with talking to the public, walking neighborhoods, and knocking on doors to engage in voter registration.
• Punctual, well-organized, self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working independently.
• Strong passion for progressive politics.
• Political, community, or labor experience is a plus.
• Being bilingual (particularly in Spanish) is a plus.
• Polite and courteous demeanor.
• Campaign, sales, or telemarketing experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

• Must be willing to travel regularly within the county.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to the goals and values of the campaign.

Compensation:

• 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
• Set your own schedule and be your own boss.
• Min $200 a day / No maximum earning cap.
• Paid weekly with an option for daily pay at the end of each shift.
