Business Manager – Produce (Metro NY/NJ)
Location: Metro NY/NJ Area (Hybrid/Field Based)

About the Role
We’re seeking a high energy, results driven Business Manager with produce expertise and established knowledge of Metro New York retailers. This role is essential to strengthening client partnerships, driving brand growth, and activating customer specific strategies at the store level. You’ll work closely with our clients, customers, and internal teams to develop tailored sales, merchandising, and marketing programs that deliver results in a fast paced, high impact environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Act as a trusted brand ambassador for Affinity Group and our clients
  • Partner with key Metro NY retailers and stakeholders to develop and execute strategic sales and merchandising initiatives
  • Drive execution of new product launches and promotional plans, ensuring alignment with trade spend and client objectives
  • Utilize syndicated data and category insights (IRI, Nielsen) to support fact-based selling
  • Track and analyze sales volume, promotional activity, and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams (Account Management, Retail Merchandising, Sales Support) to ensure seamless execution and reporting
  • Present client specific business reviews, growth opportunities, and actionable strategies to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of trade spend, deductions, and pricing activity
  • Provide leadership with insights into customer challenges and emerging market trends
What You Bring
  • Proven experience in produce and grocery retail (Metro NY market strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of grocery retail structures, operations, and sales execution
  • Experience working in food brokerage, retail sales, or CPG preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Skilled in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and syndicated data platforms (IRI, Nielsen)
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
Other Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation to visit retail locations, customer sites, and meetings
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed

Salary range: $75k-$125k
