About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as the credit union's primary expert in data science and machine learning while supporting business units with complex reporting needs. This role involves creating and modifying business reports with increased complexity, including developing minor ETL workflows and small data marts. The position requires building advanced models that business units will leverage for strategic decision-making, along with optimizing queries and processes to ensure peak performance.
What you’ll do:
Create and modify various types of complex reports for business needs, enabling users to obtain high-level overviews or drill down into specific data aspects
Apply data science and machine learning techniques to construct advanced analytical content that helps business units make informed strategic decisions
Assess reporting requirements by collaborating with business unit representatives to understand and document their specific needs
Optimize SQL queries and evaluate reporting processes to ensure the most efficient methods are being utilized
Assist in project planning using Agile methodologies and stay current with emerging technologies in report development
What you’ll bring:
2-5 years of related experience in reporting, data analysis, or similar technical roles
Two- or four-year college degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a mathematical field of study
Advanced SQL query development and SSRS development expertise
Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data science/machine learning techniques
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
Strong listening skills and attention to detail, with the ability to understand complex requirements and ask appropriate clarifying questions
Proficiency in computer operations and commitment to staying current with technological advances in the reporting field
