As a Business Development Manager —Employer Benefits , you’ll help us grow our business in the employee benefits channel and play a pivotal role in achieving revenue objectives. 

You’ll work closely with our broker partners, as well as internal team members across marketing, business intelligence, and creative services to grow our business in the channel. The business development manager builds relationships with a larger number of broker agencies, benefits consultants and large direct employers.

You are passionate about applying a disciplined sales approach and problem-solving. You are highly analytical and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales in the employee benefits channel sales and growth initiatives to develop, manage, and drive premium generation.
  • Develop channel business plans, targets, and sales strategies based on company goals and market dynamics.
  • Provide ongoing forecasts for assigned partners on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Spearhead the launch of new partnerships with leading voluntary benefits brokers, consultants, and direct employers.
  • Maintain a strong in-market presence by building and strengthening relationships with the current group of voluntary benefits brokers.
  • Expanding the partnership into new territories, identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities within the partner's network.
  • Attend meetings with distribution partners, seminars, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Prospect, onboard, and train new distribution brokers and agents.
  • Create and execute plans to expand Fetch's growth within current broker partners. Develop a process to promote Fetch to additional offices and producers within the brokerage.
  • Track all partner activity, including contacts, communications, revenue potential, and updates.
  • Assist in the constant improvement of business development, partner management, and onboarding processes.
  • Provide continual feedback to Fetch insurance, technology, and product departments on channel and customer requirements.
  • Respond to RFI and RFP requests in a timely manner. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in employee benefits and group insurance distribution.
  • Proven ability to drive significant revenue generation results from distribution partners.
  • Experience successfully developing and managing large national/ regional voluntary benefits and worksite brokers.
  • Understanding of insurance market dynamics, contracts, and financials.
  • Ability to use data for analysis and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills
