Job Title: Business Analyst – Advanced
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
The Business Analyst position will be part of the Operations team. The team is a combination of the Client technology professionals and experienced consultants, and we are seeking individuals who are highly productive, very flexible, and can work effectively in an environment where ambiguity is common. Team members are expected to contribute with minimal supervision and be self-motivated. The project demands individuals who are strong collaborators, who want to make a positive contribution to the client and can understand top-level goals and objectives and drive toward them.

This position will perform configuration management technician duties and support the migration tool (Changeman) for the client services team. Configuration management technician duties will include identifying testing needs and participating in the implementation of the new release of the software as needed.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
  • The Business Analyst role will be responsible for gathering requirements and assisting with projects, building interactive dashboard. And asset management initiatives. Assist with initial artifacts review process. Document, update and verify the implementation plan.  As the intake and release coordinator will be responsible for distributing the intake/RFC document for application teams review, gather level of effort and questions. Provide weekly release report and update monthly metrics. Collaborate with the client stakeholders on special projects under the direction and supervision of the Deputy Director.
  • As a configuration Management technician, serve as backup to migrate software for Medicaid services into production environment. Verify that the application changes have been approved for migration and confirm that all appropriate approvals have been recorded.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining documentation as it pertains to the Medicaid IT Services change management requirements. Train the client organizations on new/updated processes in collaboration with the Operations manager. Work closely with the Technical Documentation Writer to gather all relevant artifacts that need to reside in a centra location. Also train newly onboarded members on the configuration management software and other operations processes. Communicate effectively in both written and spoken communication. Work collaboratively with the client staff and other contracted staff.
Required Skills (rank in order of importance):
  • 5+ years of experience with Medicaid IT Services
  • 5+ years of experience with ChangeMan Tool
  • 2+ years of experience with Translator Tool
  • 5+ years of experience with BMC Footprints ticketing system
  • 3+ years of experience with QA testing
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral), adaptability, flexibility, self-motivation, problem solving, analytical thinking, time management, ability to work effectively in a stressful environment.
Preferred Skills (rank in order of importance):
  • SQL
  • Mainframe
  • Cobol
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree
