Job Description

Boat captains wanted for premier Miami sightseeing boat tour company. Part time positions available. Our tours are dedicated to providing our guests with an engaging and memorable experience on Biscayne Bay.

The Captain provides a key role in the overall success of our operations and are responsible for managing a clean and safe vessel and providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service. How passengers perceive the vessel not only reflects on the boat itself but also the company as a whole.

Requirements:
1.USCG OUPV or Master Captain's license, CPR and First Aid Card
2.Complete a pre-employment background and drug screen and be enrolled in a maritime drug consortium program per USCG regulations.
3.Must have excellent public speaking skills; strong and deep knowledge of Miami-area history; past tour guide experience preferred but not necessary. Exemplary customer relation skills and ability to deal with operation of vessel while conducting historical and informational tours.
4.Candidates must be safety-minded and have a thorough knowledge of USCG regulations and safety procedures.
5.Ability to take social media-worthy photos.
6.English is mandatory, second language a plus.
7.Knowledge of bay and near coastal waters in Miami-Dade area
8.Professional, neat and clean appearance and willing to wear apparel matching our company brand.
9.Candidate should reside in Miami-Dade County.
10.Flexible schedule with on call days through low season.
11.Must be willing to work weekends and holidays and in all safe weather conditions.

Responsibilities:
--Operating vessel safely while conducting engaging and informative sightseeing tours.
--Daily operations of charters and tours including vessel prep, cleaning and ongoing maintenance.
--Maintain daily bookings/departures log and assist with on-site ticket collection and payment procedures.
--All work performed within established procedures and with high regard for vessels and equipment and most importantly, passenger enjoyment and safety.

The ideal candidate will be looking for long term employment, possess knowledge of the Miami area waters, have an interest in or knowledge of area history, marine life and culture and be able to communicate that information in an engaging and entertaining manner.

Salary: $ 25.00 40.00 Per Hour
