Job Description



As Associate Tech Lead on the Connected Restaurant (IoT) team, you are required to handle requirements, review, and provide feedback related to product design. You will partner with multiple collaborators including product teams, vendors, and McD internal departments.

  • Act as one of the IoT technical subject matter experts.
  • Lead the development and strategic direction for IOT data within McDonald’s.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to ensure alignment on decisions and development (GTIO, GTRM, data, legal, supply chain, operations, etc.).
  • Analyze and optimize data costs of the IOT solution.
  • Help define new IoT use cases & implementation of those use cases.
  • Help prioritize user stories for development teams while balancing technical and business requirements.
  • Work with the development team to ensure requirements are being met.
  • Maintain and contribute to the IoT platform supplier standards.
  • Work with new suppliers to onboard them to the IOT platform.
  • Work with global markets to understand unique requirements for development and deployment.
  • Oversee testing/validation of the IoT platform before deployment.
  • Maintain project documentation.

Qualifications

  • You have knowledge and understanding of cloud & IoT capabilities (2+ years’ experience).
  • Solid understanding of business processes and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications (2+ years’ experience).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex data sets and synthesizing data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Curious and a self-starter with a strong bias for action; Proven track record of “getting things done”.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams and deliver outcomes of each task.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to effectively influence and lead through functional boundaries.
  • Technical development and data integration skills are a plus.
