Job Description

Kyverna Therapeutics is a clinical-stage cell therapy company with the mission of engineering a new class of therapies for autoimmune diseases. Kyverna is recruiting a Director of Patient Advocacy in its Partnerships & Alliances organization to help advance its mission to free patients from the siege of autoimmune disease. The ideal candidate will contribute to our goals of navigating what’s next in synthetic biology, immunology and cell engineering while living our core values: bring intellectual humility, elevate each other, and stay true to why.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a global patient advocacy strategy and work across internal teams to implement effective local partnerships with patient advocacy organizations.
  • Collaborates closely with Kyverna Patient Engagement and Communications to ensure appropriate information exchange.
  • Link appropriate patient groups with information and resources needed to support patients and their caregivers.
  • Supports patient identification and engagement to develop patient insights.
  • Supports advancement of Regulatory, Medical, and Market Access initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance requirements are well understood and adhered to.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of patient advocacy experience, of which at least two years were at established biopharmaceutical or medical device company
  • Understands and adheres to compliant patient engagement requirements
  • Established connections within the Neurology and Rheumatology advocacy community is desirable. Experience in rare disease is also desirable.
  • Has an ability to initiate, establish, and maintain partnerships with patient organizations.
  • Effective oral presentation and written communication skills are necessary
  • Demonstrated capacity to think creatively when addressing complex situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Regulatory, Market Access / HEOR, Clinical Operations, Research, and other internal function
  • Self-starter, works effectively in teams

The salary range for candidates residing in California for this position is $170,000 USD to $190,000 USD annually.

This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation geographic location, individual education, experience, tenure, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for bonuses, benefits, and participation in the Company’s stock option plan.
