Job Description

Are you a motivated and talented individual looking to grow your career in management? Urban Self Storage is currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team! This unique role offers the opportunity to split your time between assisting with self-storage operations and supporting the management of two office buildings, all in one location.

** Work Schedule : Sunday through Thursday, 40 hours total

Responsibilities

Self Storage Operations (50%)

  • Manage day-to-day operations of a self-storage facility under the guidance of the Store Manager and Team Leader.
  • Ensure the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained, including tasks such as sweeping, mopping, trash pickup, changing light bulbs, and pulling weeds.
  • Handle customer accounts, including processing payments and conducting delinquency calls.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions, including assisting with rentals and giving tours of storage spaces.
  • Respond promptly to email and phone inquiries.
  • Manage daily deposits and cash counts.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet budget, occupancy, and rental goals.
  • Perform routine security checks to ensure the safety of the facility and its customers.

Office Building Operations (50%)

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of two office buildings, ensuring smooth operations and tenant satisfaction.
  • Perform regular property inspections to maintain cleanliness and address any maintenance needs, along with ensuring common areas are always stocked.
  • Serve as a point of contact for tenants, addressing questions, concerns, and service requests promptly.
  • Help manage tenant accounts, including invoicing and payment processing.
  • Support leasing activities, including property tours and assisting with lease agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with building policies and safety regulations.
  • Track Insurance Compliance and complete regular file audits.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Sheets, and mobile apps).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great listening skills and the ability to take direction.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous sales or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of property management or facilities management.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: ($21.50 - $23)
  • Additional monthly bonus and commission earnings opportunity
