We're looking for an entry-level HVAC and Plumbing Engineer to join our Architectural Engineering team at our Wichita location (in office). This individual will assist with the design of a variety of projects that may include schools, churches, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, and other commercial or industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of coordinated detail design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, site observation reports, etc.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers to produce the design and layout of varied HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Work on multiple projects including HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, hydronic systems design, plumbing systems, and utility coordination.
  • Understand and research industry standards and building codes.

Requirements:

  • Architectural Engineering degree is preferred. Mechanical Engineering degree will be considered.
  • Passed FE exam or willingness to successfully sit for the exam.
  • Interest in HVAC and plumbing design systems and concepts.
  • Design experience with HVAC and plumbing systems for buildings preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD MEP and Autodesk Revit preferred.
  • Proficient user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
