Internship Program Overview

Gate City Bank's summer internship program is designed to provide students with a challenging, meaningful, and supportive experience, closely mirroring the role of a full-time team member.

The 12-week program , running from May 19 - August 15, 2025, begins with an immersive orientation to the Bank and its leadership. Interns will receive:
  • On-the-Job Training : Meaningful day-to-day responsibilities that contribute to their teams.
  • Development Opportunities : A speaker series and skill-building sessions through lunch and learns.
  • Community Involvement : Volunteer opportunities to give back to our communities.
  • Networking Opportunities : Build lasting connections with peers and leaders.

Internship Opportunity: Compliance and Assurance Services!

The Compliance and Assurance Services team is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Bank's regulatory, legal and policy compliance.

Role Summary:

The selected intern will focus on supporting key initiatives, including:

  • Execution of Compliance Testing and Monitoring, including but not limited to assisting Compliance Management and Compliance Officers in the execution of Compliance Assessments.
  • Reviews and prepares work papers and reports in accordance with established Bank quality control, industry, and professional standards. Present final reports to department management.
  • Examine bank records, reviews procedures and creates scripts to perform other tests for all product lines to ensure compliance with Bank policies, Bank procedures, applicable laws and regulations, private investors, government entities
  • Assist the Compliance Officers in administering and implementing the Bank's Compliance Management System.
  • Execution of enhancements to the Bank's Compliance Management System, including facilitation of meetings, organization of deliverables, and basic project management to achieve departmental goals.

  • Time Commitment: Full-Time, May 19 - August 15, 2025
  • Eligibility: Must be an actively enrolled student, not graduating prior to August 2025.
  • Pay: $17.25
